Arturo Vargas. Filmmaker. Fantasy Storyteller.
Arturo Vargas, 28 years old, from El Paso, Texas, has been making films since the age of 10 when he first grabbed his father's handheld video camera. At the age of 13 he created a "Lord of the Rings" parody that won the El Paso Community College's Youth Art's Festival in 1st place. At that point in his life, he decided to write and direct for a living. He continued to make short films with his friends and created a science-fiction/fantasy universe as a comic book. He attended Vanguard University of Southern California in Costa Mesa, California, with a Bachelor's in Communication. Arturo made a few shorts there and then continued to work outside as an editor for commercials after he graduated. Arturo has achieved his Masters of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking and is currently working on a web series of what he hopes to turn into a feature or television saga.
